Terms of Service

Welcome to Periplo, operated by Nikita Baklazhenko. By downloading, installing, or using the Periplo mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

Periplo is an AI-powered travel planning application that helps you discover activities, generate trip itineraries, and plan your travels. The app provides suggestions and recommendations based on your preferences and location.

2. Pricing, Subscriptions, and Availability

Periplo offers both a free tier and a paid subscription plan ("Periplo Pro"). The free tier provides limited trip generation credits that regenerate over time. Periplo Pro provides, during each active billing period, unlimited AI trip generation, unmetered trip regeneration and edits, and priority access to new features as they are released.

Subscription Billing

Periplo Pro is available as a monthly or an annual auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at the confirmation of purchase. The current price for each plan is displayed in the app at the time of purchase in your local currency and may vary by region.

Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

Your subscription automatically renews at the same price as the current period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of that period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain Pro access until then.

Refunds

All subscription payments are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests are subject to the applicable platform's refund policy. To request a refund, please contact Apple App Store Support or Google Play Support directly.

Fair Use

To maintain service quality and availability for all users, we reserve the right to apply reasonable usage limits and to throttle or suspend accounts that exceed fair-use thresholds. This applies to all tiers, including Pro.

Availability

The service requires an internet connection and may not be available in all regions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the service. We reserve the right to modify pricing, features, or subscription plans with advance notice.

3. Account Registration

You may use Periplo as a guest or create an account for a personalized experience. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to use the service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or infrastructure
• Use automated systems or bots to access the service
• Resell or redistribute content generated by the app

5. AI-Generated Content

Periplo uses artificial intelligence to generate trip itineraries and recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any recommendation, including but not limited to:

• Opening hours, prices, or availability of venues and activities
• Travel conditions, safety, or weather information
• Distances, travel times, or route suggestions

Always verify important details independently before making travel decisions or bookings.

6. Third-Party Services and Booking

Periplo may contain links to third-party websites and booking platforms. These links are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services. Any transactions you make through third-party links are solely between you and that third party. We may receive affiliate commissions from some of these services.

7. Intellectual Property

The Periplo app, including its design, features, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any personal data and trip content you create within the app.

8. Notifications

With your permission, Periplo may send local notifications such as trip reminders and travel updates. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Periplo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, but is not limited to, damages from reliance on AI-generated travel recommendations, missed bookings, or inaccurate information.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Periplo and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app via Settings > Delete Account. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Periplo regarding your use of the app and supersede any prior agreements.

16. Connector Access via AI Hosts

When you use Periplo through an AI host (Claude, ChatGPT, or any other Model Context Protocol compatible client), the same Terms apply. The host is not a party to this agreement; their own terms govern your relationship with them. Periplo is not liable for content the host generates around or alongside our tool responses.

Subscriptions remain managed in-app via the App Store or Google Play. Free-tier credit limits apply identically across web, mobile, and connector usage — there is no separate "MCP-only" or "mobile-only" entitlement.

You can revoke a connector's access at any time from the host's settings page. Periplo retains the right to refuse service to MCP requests that violate the Acceptable Use section above (excessive automation, prompt injection attempts, scraped responses redistributed without attribution).
